POWER CHASE then tailed off and made up some ground after straightening. K. A post-race veterinary examination of POWER CHASE did not detect any abnormalities. Trainer Mr L. After the 100 metres REBEL DUEL and NADGEE came together resulting in NADGEE becoming unbalanced. When questioned regarding the performance of MISS MACHINE R. Freeman stated that her mount overraced in the early stages and, after straightening, made an unusual respiratory noise and she became concerned with the horse’s action and, for that reason, she did not place MISS MACHINE under any pressure over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination found MISS MACHINE to have a very elevated heart rate and to be in a very distressed condition. Trainer Mr M.
