An official barrier trial was conducted over 1000 metres prior to the first race, in which 6 horses participated… DEUX MILLE, which had been required to re-trial, was passed by the Stewards…

RACE 1 MAIDEN PLATE 1000 M

LONSDALE GRIT, ROMANISTIC and ZACH’S GIRL were all slow to begin…

RACE 2 CLASS 4 HANDICAP 1000 M

Passing the 400 metres LOVE LESSON’S, which was over-racing, steadied to avoid the heels of ZEDASIDE…

RACE 3 MAIDEN PLATE 1200 M

SUPER BOOTS, which was injured en-route to the course, was a late withdrawal at 12.05pm… BOLD VAGABOND was slow to begin…

RACE 4 CLASS 3 HANDICAP 1200 M

RACE 5 NARRANDERA CUP (OPEN HANDICAP) 1600 M

OUR DANERAC took charge of it’s rider and bolted a lap of the track before being pulled up… OUR DANERAC was subsequently withdrawn acting on veterinary advice at 4.06pm… Stewards ruled all monies invested on OUR DANERAC were to be refunded, with all successful win and place wagers made prior to the withdrawal to be paid face value of the ticket less 6 cents in the dollar on win bets, and 7 cents in the dollar on place bets… DICTAVE blundered on jumping losing ground… Passing the 500 metres BORN TO DANCE checked when disappointed for a clear run on the inside of BRIGDALE, which was racing tightly inside LET’S JIVE… GASNIER, which was following, was hampered in consequence… A subsequent veterinary examination of DEVAUX, which was tailed off, revealed no apparent abnormality…

RACE 6 CLASS 1 / MAIDEN PLATE 1600 M

KATHEY’S CLOUD struck the side of the gates on jumping, knuckled and lost ground… SPEED LANE was held up for clear running approaching the 500 metres, then disappointed for a clear run passing the 300 metres and had to be steadied… SPEED LANE experienced difficulty obtaining clear running in the home straight…
