NT 1: CLASS 2 HANDICAP 1200 METRES 7 STARTERS

BRIGHT VISION (D Lockwood (a)) jumped in the air as start effected losing some ground. FLIGHT WAY (M Cullen) was slow to begin. Subsequent to the event Jockey G LEFOE, rider of RAJA MAHAL was charged under ARR137a with Careless Riding. The Careless Riding being that he permitted his mount RAJA MAHAL to shift inward at about the 150 metre mark resulting in ARCH HENRY (T Norton) having to be checked. G LEFOE was found guilty of the charge by Stewards and his licence to ride in races was suspended up to and including 12/4/03.

NT 2 CLASS 6 HANDICAP 1400 METRES 5 STARTERS

PURE GOLD (B Huppatz) jumped awkwardly as start effected. PURE GOLD (B Huppatz) who was inclined to over race came into contact with the running rail at about the 1200 metre mark. NAPPA (B Cornell) and ILKARA (J Dittman) brushed just prior to the winning post.

NT 3 CLASS D HANDICAP 1400 METRES 9 STARTERS

KENNY'S IDOL (P Crich) jumped inwards onto WILD KNIGHT (W Orbell) who in turn brushed BLETCHY (B Huppatz) as start effected.

1ST PHIL'S FAITH 2ND BLETCHY 3RD THERE'S DAD

NT 4: OPEN HANDICAP 1000 METRES 11 STARTERS

ARAGORN (B Huppatz) and EMINENCY (B Cornell) came together as start effected. Approaching the 600 metre mark KING'S TWIG (S Leckey), ASPEN STAR (W Orbell), CRAZY COTTON (G Lefoe) were momentarily tightened when SWIFTLY (P Crich) shifted ground slightly. P CRICH, rider of SWIFTLY was severely reprimanded for the incident and reminded of his obligations in regard to the protection of his fellow riders at all times. BATHERS (M Cullen) was held up for a clear run in the last 50 metres of the race.

All winners were swabbed. NAPPA and PALAZZO pre-race swabbed.
