Race 1 – CLASS 6 HCP - 1300 metres:
On jumping away MARZOTTO shifted in and bumped NEGEV.
Stewards questioned Mr S Clarke, trainer of SEQUALO FAIR which performed below expectations. Mr Clarke stated that the filly had done similar work prior to today’s race as its previous start and that he could offer no explanation for its poor performance.

Race 2 – 2YO SET WEIGHTS - 1100 metres:
C Lever, rider of second placegetter BOUND NY FAITH, lodged an objection against FILAMONY being declared the winner alleging interference over the final 150 metres. After taking evidence from the parties concerned and viewing the video patrol film, stewards dismissed the objection and declared correct weight. Stewards deemed that whilst FILAMONY did shift out, causing interference to BOUND BY FAITH, the extent of that interference did not affect the result of the race. S Ridler, rider of FILAMONY was reprimanded and notified that in similar circumstances he must stop riding and straighten his mount.

Race 3 – CLASS 2 HCP - 1200 metres:
When the gates opened LUNCH CLUB bounded.
On jumping away PIRATE OF PENZANCE and GUNDOOEE STAR were tightened for room between EYE EYE SIR and PSEUDONAJA, both of which shifted. FLYING CAPE also shifted out and hampered RUMBARELLA.
Near the 600 metres AT LAST had to be eased when tightened for room by FLYING CAPE which had a tendency to hang out rounding the turn. As a consequence RUMBARELLA which was following had to be eased and layed out when being restrained.

Race 4 – CLASS 1 HCP - 1600 metres:
P Shiers, rider of second placegetter SCHOBI BARU lodged an objection against GAGS being declared the winner alleging interference from the 380 metres to the 150 metres. After hearing evidence from the parties concerned and viewing the patrol video the stewards dismissed the objection and declared correct weight. Stewards notified P Shiers that when the initial contact between SCHOBI BARU and GAGS occurred that his mount had shifted in slightly and when the two horses raced tight and bumped shortly afterwards it was in the majority due to his mount shifting in.
Near the 500 metres ACQUA ALTO had to be eased off the heels of AUDITORIUM which was weakening.

Near the 1500 metres CATECHISM had to be eased off the heels of SUSURRO which shifted in.
