STREWTH (T Huish) was fractious in the starting stalls prior to the start being effected. Apprentice D LOCKWOOD, rider of OUR TANGLEFOOT reported to Stewards that her mount was standing flat footed as start effected resulting in her losing some ground.

BARROW was a late scratching at 12.55pm by order of Stewards acting on veterinary advice. STRATEGIC FEELING had to be replated prior to the start. G LEFOE, rider of COPPER'S EDGE was instructed by Stewards that he must ride his mounts out to the winning post.

Jockey J DITTMAN, rider of THERE'S DAD 4th placed in race weighed in at excess of 1.5kgs overweight. Jockey J DITTMAN was charged by Stewards under ARR145 being over his allotted weight. J DITTMAN pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined the sum of $150. He was also instructed by Stewards that in future he must seek permission from Stewards before riding any horse over its handicapped weight. Subsequent to the race jockey G LEFOE, rider of RAJA MAHAL 3rd place getter requested to view the photo finish of the race for 2nd place. After viewing the photo G LEFOE agreed with the Judges decision and correct weight was declared.

NT 9: CLASS 2 HANDICAP 1200 METRES 7 STARTERS

OUR MATE JACK (B Cornell) knuckled over badly as start effected. SANCAY (D Lockwood (a)) jumped inward bumping SURRENDERS (B Huppatz) as gates opened. SOCCER (T Huish) and OUR MAKE JACK (B Cornell) were inclined to race tightly in the early stages of the race. Approaching the 100 metre mark CARTOON HERO (L Stojakovic (a)) shifted outward resulting in MURPHY' S PRIZE (T Norton) having to be eased. Apprentice L STOJAKOVIC, rider of CARTOON HERO was instructed by Stewards that all times she must ensure that she is sufficiently clear before shifting ground.

Trainer K ROGERSON was fined the sum of $50 under ARR140 - present EDGE TO EDGE to race in Race NT7 with blinkers when the horse was not approved to wear that gear.
