RACE ONE CLASS D HCP – 16OO M

When the gates opened HIT AND HOPE jumped outwards tightening RICHOTTO onto MOSSSE.

Subsequent to the event the clubs veterinary surgeon inspected PRESTIGIOUS which performed poorly and he reported that he could find no obvious signs of abnormalities.

A swab sample was taken from the winner of the race RICHOTTO.

RACE TWO CLASS 5 HCP – 1OOO M

At the start GOLD BOSS jumped in onto LORD ERSKINE which lost ground and BRONZE CHEIRON was slow into stride.

Mr S Brown, trainer of WARISAN was fined $50 as the gelding was nominated for this event when ineligible AR64.

RACE THREE MAIDEN S/W – 12OO M

The clubs veterinary surgeon inspected TEL EL SABA which had struck it’s head in the day stalls. The clubs veterinary surgeon reported the gelding had suffered an injury to it’s head and was unfit to start. Acting on this advise, stewards ordered the withdrawal of TEL EL SABA at 2.40pm.

Subsequent to the event stewards ordered all monies wagered on TEL EL SABA to be refunded and the following betting deductions. All monies wagered prior to the withdrawal of TEL EL SABA to be paid as follows- for the win, face value of the ticket less 8 cents in the dollar. For the place, face value of the ticket less 9 cents in the dollar.

A routine swab sample was taken from the winner of the event EL SUROSO.

RACE FOUR CLASS 2 HCP – 12OO M

At the start CRAZY COTTON jumped in onto OAKLEIGH BOY. P Shiers, rider of OAKLEIGH BOY stated that after the gelding was bumped, it refused to stretch out for some strides and that during the race the saddle slipped back.

ARCH HENRY and ROYAL FIZZ came together at the start.

Throughout the race ENTITLEMENT raced wide.

RACE FIVE OPEN HCP – 12OO M

As D Bates was unavailable for this race M Osmond was permitted to replace him as the rider of HIGH REVS.
