RACE TWO 3YO CLASS 2 HCP - 12OO M

At the start REGENT COPY jumped inwards taking STAGE KING inwards. At the same time ZIPPA RAJA jumped outwards causing in turn QUEEN OF THE NORTH, ENVIRONS, FLYING CAPE and DALRIADA to shift outwards. This resulted in STAGE KING and DALRIADA bumping which caused KOSSI PRINCE, which was racing close behind, to clip heels almost bringing that gelding down. FLYING CAPE and DALRIADA were also checked at this point. Evidence was taken from all jockeys involved and as there were a number of contributing factors, no further action was taken. However jockeys were reminded to keep their mounts clear in future in order to protect their fellow riders.

Rounding the first turn FLYING CAPE had a tendency to hang out.

Jockey M Cullen, rider of REGENT COPY reported that the gelding raced erratically. He believed this was in his opinion due to the use a rubber tongue tie.

Trainer A Trengrove was fined $20 for the use of club colours.
