On jumping away SHODIYM shifted in onto TOUCH OF SCOTCH which in turn bumped KISSING DOWN. Shortly after this SHODIYM shifted out bumping BECCORINO.
At the 1400 metres, L Schmidt, rider of TOUCH OF SCOTCH, had to ease that gelding off the heels of KISSING DOWN

The clubs veterinary surgeon inspected FREEDOM FUNDS subsequent to the event and reported that the gelding was lame in the off fore leg. Ms L Edwards, representing Mr S Paynter, trainer of FREEDOM FUNDS was notified that a veterinary certificate of soundness must be produced for the gelding prior to it again racing. Mr S Paynter trainer of FREEDOM FUNDS was fined $30 for presenting that gelding without it’s approved gear (blinkers)(AR140(a))
