Frenzied Dane $7 was a farther four and a quarter lengths away filling the minor placing.

Rider Justin Potter brought up an early double when the Real Jester gelding Jestquill provided his trainer Shane Oxlade with a fiftieth birthday present in the 1350 metre second race.

Starting the $3 favourite and mothered by the Brondesbury mare Bronquill, Jestquill was well positioned in the early stages and, getting to the front in the straight, beat Granulator $4.20 for trainer Roslyn Day and rider Adrian Patterson.

The combination of Phillip Stokes and Simon Price were associated with the third placegetter Full of Cache who finished a farther one and a quarter lengths away.

Trainer Brian Mueller kept the momentum going for the Strathalbyn training brigade when the first starter Just Diamond gave jockey Troy Baker a half length win in race three which was run over 1100 metres.

Starting at $7.50 the Happy Giggle sired Just Diamond, from the Premiership mare Mixed Currency, came from well back and beat the David Jolly first starter Assertive Spirit $3.40 ridden by Justin Potter.

The Barry Dunn prepared Jackson Matthews ridden Elancer $18 was a farther one and three quarter lengths away third while the Shane Oxlade trained Perfectamondo was a head away fourth completing a quartet of placings for the local track.

Justin Potter scored his third win for the afternoon when he guided the Ingo Boess trained Brother Warwick to a short half head win in race four which was contested over 1200 metres.

A Steady Eddy four year old gelding from Touch of Grey, an Amen Brother matron, Brother Warwick was well placed and defeated Royal Stormy for trainer Dion Koch and Troy Baker.

Scrublands was a farther one and a quarter lengths away third for Barry Dunn and Jackson Matthews.

Jockey Troy Baker brought up a double when Mount Nancy scored a two length win for local mentor Peter Moody in the 1200 metre fifth race.

Staring at $14 the Al Samer gelding from the Secret Savings mare Monyah, Mount Nancy was in the leading division throughout and beat the Barry Dunn trained Jeffrey Maund guided Rolling Stones $3.50 bringing up a quinella for the Strathalbyn track.

Birdman, the $3.50 equal favourite with the second placegetter Rolling Stones, was a farther one and a quarter lengths away third for the combination of Tony McEvoy and Matthew Neilson.

Trainer Will Clarken and rider Todd Pannell tasted victory when Monstarhit $5.50 registered a head win in the 1600 metre sixth race.

An Iglesia four year old gelding from the Euclase mare Star Hit, Monstarhit powered home to beat War Hawk $3.10 for mentor Tony McEvoy and rider Matthew Neilson.

Major De $8 was a farther half neck way third in an exciting finish for local trainer Emma Hubbard and rider Adrian Patterson.

Trainer Peter Moody brought up a double when he joined forces with rider Libby Hopwood in the three quarters of a length win of Justify That $4.40 in the eighth race which was run over 1350 metres.

From the West Point matron Duty of Honour and sired by King of Prussia, Justify That was not far from the lead for the entire journey and beat the Don McKay prepared Glen Davis ridden Royal Impulse $21.

Local trainer Phillip Cole and jockey Simon Price provided Owdatay $8 who was a farther two and a half lengths away third.

Being quoted at $8 when the stater released the field in the final event of 1600 metres Shez A Gaze gave her trainer Ken Sweeney and rider Shayne Cahill a length win.

Fathered by Stargazer from the daughter of Zoffany, She Zoff, Shez A Gaze came from a better than mid field position and powered home to take the event from the second place getter, the Kirsten McGowan cared for Jeffrey Maund ridden Arazamataz $14.

Star Of Broadway $41 was another half length away taking out the third stakemony for Georgie Henderson and Todd Pannell.

The spring carnival is over for Alcopop who has been found to have a slab fracture of the near-fore knee which may require surgery.

Trainer Jake Stephens advised Thoroughbred Racing SA stewards subsequent to Alcopop's out-of-character performance when last in the Caulfield Stakes (2000m) on October 8 that the Jeune gelding had been subjected to extensive veterinary examination which had been inconclusive.

AlcopopAlcopopHe stated that as Alcopop's recovery from the run had not pleased him, the seven-year-old gelding had not resumed work.

He confirmed that further extensive veterinary examination, including X-rays, had detected the knee fracture which will sideline him for several months.

Stephens advised that ongoing consultation would decide whether Alcopop underwent surgery.

The winner of nine of his 26 starts, Alcopop finished runner-up to So You Think in last year's Caulfield Stakes.

Two starts back he ran second to Rekindled Interest in the Group Two Dato Tan Chin Nam Stakes (1600m) at Moonee Valley after winning the Penny Edition Stakes (1400m) when second-up at Morphettville.

His best win was in the 2009 Group Two Herbert Power Stakes (2400m) at Caulfield over subsequent Melbourne Cup winner Shocking.

He was sent out favourite in the Melbourne Cup at his next start and finished sixth.

Clare LindopClare Lindop has become the first Australian female jockey to ride 1000 winners with a double at Morphettville in Adelaide on Saturday.

A four-time Group One winner and stable jockey for Leon Macdonald and Andrew Gluyas, Lindop went to her home track on 998.

She brought up the milestone with a fitting double for the Macdonald-Gluyas team, steering Lalla Rookh and Perfect Punch to victory.

Lindop's highest profile win came in the 2008 Victoria Derby aboard the Macdonald-trained Rebel Raider.

She may get the chance for a second Derby with Perfect Punch on the path to the Classic later this month.

Sky Journey $4 was a farther length away third for David Hayes and Adrian Patterson.

Matthew Neilson brought up an early double when the Tony McEvoy trained Grand Ginger was the head winner in race two which was run over 1600 metres.

From the Canny Lad mare Ginger Meg and sired by Grandera, Grand Ginger won his second successive race. The gelding was well placed and defeated the John Hickmott prepared Dominic Tourneur ridden Goldridge $5.50.

The one time leader Jeunealistic $12 was another two lengths away third for Ken Sweeney and Clare Lindop.

Constant visitors to Adelaide trainer Darren Weir and apprentice Jack Hill tasted victory when Corvidae $3.20 was the one and a quarter length winner of race three which was contested over 1200 metres.

From the Deputy Governor mare Jayjaye and sired by Marmottan, Corvidae settled well and went on to beat the David Jolly prepared Justin Potter ridden Conduction $6 .

The $2.30 punter’s choice The Eighth Maker was a short half head away third for Lloyd Kennewell and Nathan Rose.

Starting at $4.40 the Pins three year old mare Zippa the Rippa was having her third raceday outing. From the Centaine mare Pernod, Zippa the Rippa was well placed and beat the Tony McEvoy prepared Matthew Neilson guided Harmonic $6.50.

Riziz $10 was a half head away third for Ken Sweeney and Shayne Cahill.

Matthew Neilson brought up a treble of winners and Tony McEvoy scored his second winner for the day when four year old gelding Sky Raider, the $1.90 favourite, scored his third win in a row in the 2038 metre fifth race.

A Reset gelding from the Kashani mare Bright Time, Sky Rainer settled in third placing and went on to beat the Lloyd Kennewell cared for Joe Bowditch ridden Honourable Kind $4.40.

Token of Honour $4.80 was a farther neck away third, filling the minor placing for David Hayes and Nathan Rose.

A Royal Academy four year old gelding, Conservatorium, from the Belong to Me mare Belong to Madam, was in the first two throughout the event and defeated the Mark Kavanagh trained Simon Price guided Catapulted $2.40.

The $61 returned Far Horizons was another two and a quarter lengths away third for Darwin trainer Stephen Brown and jockey Clare Lindop.

Shane Cahill brought up a race to race double when the Lloyd Kennewell prepared Mountain Cat $5 was the two and a quarter length winner of race eight which was run over 1200 metres.

Sired by Tiger Hill from the Barathea mare Marlboro Hill, Mountain Cat came from a midfield position and beat the Roy Rogers cared for Clare Lindop ridden Exalted Blonde $4.40.

A farther length and a quarter away filling the minor placing was Invinsible Diva $12 for Mark Kavanagh and Joe Bowditch.

After previously racing in New Zealand and having his first Australian start Magic Me $7 gave the training combination of Terry and Karina O’Sullivan and jockey Joe Bowditch a long neck win in the final event of 1200 metres.

A four year old Magic Albert gelding from the Barathea mare Amalthea, Magic Me came from the rear of the field with a strong run to defeat the Paul Beshara trained Reece Wheeler ridden Schoorwin $12.

Tuscan Breeze $5 was another half neck away third for Stephen Brown and Simon Price.

Owned by Stansbury residents Malcolm and Raelene Modra and Trevor Watts, Yorke Peninsular $7, a Clanalang gelding from the Salmon Leap mare Artistic Belle, settled well and came to the centre of the track late in the race going on to beat the Clayton Bromley mentored Shayne Cahill ridden Ruling Doubt $31.

Viva La Ranga $3.50 was a farther one and a quarter lengths away third for Gordon Richards and Clare Lindop.

Gary Searle said after the race that Yorke Peninsular will have its next run at Bordertown in a fortnight.

AlcopopAfter a couple of encouraging lead-up runs, Alcopop will not contest either of his main spring targets - the Caulfield Cup (2400m) or Cox Plate (2040m) - after a flat performance in last Saturday's Group One Caulfield Stakes (2000m).

However the seven-year-old gelding may still play a part over the spring carnival.

Alcopop, who started a $4.80 favourite in the 2009 Melbourne Cup (3200m), finished last beaten 11-1/2 lengths in last Saturday's Group 1 Caulfield Stakes (2000m).

Trainer Jake Stephens advised Racing Victoria stewards on Monday that the horse would return to South Australia to freshen up, where a decision on his entire spring campaign will be made.

"We'll check him out over the next few days and decide whether he has a good spell or we continue on," Stephens told The Advertiser.

"We could look for a race around the 2000m mark later in the spring but nothing over that.

"We'll just wait and see how he recovers."

Alcopop has raced 26 times for nine wins and three seconds with his most recent win coming in the Listed Penny Edition Stakes (1400m) at Morphettville Parks in August.

He then finished second to Rekindled Interest in the Group 2 Feehan Stakes (1600m) at Moonee Valley before his Caulfield Stakes flop.

The $2 favourite Uchimura was a farther two and three quarter lengths away third for Tony McEvoy and Michael Hoppo.

Winning her second race in succession Societal $2 gave Flemington trainer Danny O’Brien and rider Simon Price a half length win in race two which was contested over 1200 metres.

From the Desert Prince mare Princess Society and fathered by Mossman, Societal came from a rearward position to beat the Stuart Padman trained Jordan Frew ridden Imperial Fury $3.20.

Flying Away $7.50 completed the trifecta for John O’Connor and Clare Lindop.

After a long run of outs Woodland Jack gave his trainer Richard Jolly and rider Matthew Neilson a double when the Viscount gelding was the half head winner of race four which was run over 2024 metres.

From the Danehill mare Lady Marion, Woodland Jack came from well back and defeated the David Hayes trained Nathan Rose ridden Sky Journey $4.80.

The $2.40 favourite Lalla Rookh was a short half head away third for the combination of Leon Macdonald, Andrew Gluyas and Clare Lindop.

The Eighth Maker returned to racing after a three month let up in good style and brought up a double for Nathan Rose in the 1200 metre fifth event.

Starting at $3.50 and trained by Lloyd Kennewell the Clangalang sired The Eighth Maker from the Bluebird mare Floral Emblem, came from last and, putting in a power house-like run over the concluding stages, beat the Darren Weir prepared apprentice Jack Hill ridden Corvidae, the $2.30 favourite.

Too Many Reds $5.50 was a farther long neck away third for Tony McEvoy and Libby Hopwood.

Starting at $5.50 Military Dan brought up a siring double for his sire Akhadan.  From the Military Plume mare Lithiasis, Military Dan started well before drifting back to a mid-field position but was able to muster enough speed to go on and defeat another David Jolly runner Our Danchi $3.50 with apprentice Claudia Lions in the saddle.

The John Macmillan mentored Amy Herrmann ridden Holy Shemoley, the $2.70 public elect, was a farther four lengths away third and brought up a trifecta for the Strathalbyn track.
