Adelaide to Host First Juvenile Race Tomorrow

Australia's first two-year-old race in Australia will be run in Adelaide tomorrow.

Ten horses have accepted for the $22,000 Smart Choice Spring Plate, a race which will be run over 900 metres down the straight at Victoria Park.

Astute Morphettville based trained David Balfour will have two runners in the race, including the trial runner-up Oakwood.

Lindsay Park will be represented by Son of Spartacus, who as his name indicates is a colt by the Yallambee Stud based former top class sprinter Spartacus.

Other trainers who are represented include Ken Sweeney, Phillip Stokes and the Magic Millions winning trainer Byron Cozamanis.

She's a Card, from the same stable at Squillani, and the Bordertown youngster Our Short Stop are trial winners who will go into the race with some admirers.
