Galloper Returns Elevated Bi-Carb

Fresh from a career-high achievement of training two winners at Moonee Valley last Friday Night, trainer Dennis O’Leary is set to front an inquiry.
TRSA Stewards announced on Monday afternoon that following the SA Bookmakers Handicap (1250m) at Morphettville Parks on January 29, the fourth placed Value As returned a sample with a greater TCO2 reading than permitted.
O’Leary has been informed of the irregularity and an inquiry into the circumstances of the elevated reading will be held on February 24 at 9:30am.
Value As defeated Group 1 winner Chartreux as a three-year-old at Morphettville over six furlongs and has raced ten times for two wins and a placing with his prizemoney standing at $45,050.
The four-year-old is nominated for a $30,000 0-72 Handicap (1600m) at Moonee Valley this Friday Night alongside stablemate Adoptme Two who is nominated for a $30,000 0-82 Handicap (1200m).
