Price Suspended For Winning Nitschke Ride

Ain'tnofallenstarLeading South Australian jockey Simon Price has been suspended for four meetings following Saturday’s meeting at Morphettville Parks.

Price was outed for his winning ride aboard the Lee Freedman-trained Ain’tnofallenstar in the Listed HC Nitschke Stakes (1400m) as with 200 metres remaining he shifted in when not clear of Meadows Dan, ridden by Clare Lindop.

Price will ride this Saturday at Morphettville with the $115,000 Group 3 Boag’s Lord Reims Stakes (2600m) and $115,000 Group 3 Marsh Breeders’ Stakes (1200m) the highlights on the card.

But he will miss the following Saturday program at Morphettville Parks and Australian Cup Day at Flemington also on March 12, ensuring he won’t be able to ride Ain’tnofallenstar in her next assignment, the $500,000 Group 2 Kewney Stakes (1600m).

Price will return just in time for Adelaide Cup Day on March 14.
