Goodwood Thrown Open As Hay List Defects

The Group One Goodwood in Adelaide has been thrown wide open with star sprinter Hay List a confirmed non-runner.
Hay List had been installed a dominant favourite for Sunday week's 1200m feature at Morphettville but he was ruled out on Friday because suitable travel plans couldn't be arranged.
Shrapnel, Ortensia and Crystal Lily now share favouritism at $5.50 in the revised TAB Sportsbet market.
The Mark Kavanagh-trained Shrapnel impressed when winning the Group Two Yallambee Classic at the same track and distance as the Goodwood on March 14.
The talented colt was set to run in the Group One Galaxy (1100m) at Randwick on April 16 but was scratched only a couple of hours before the event when the track was downgraded to a heavy (10).
Last year's Golden Slipper winner Crystal Lily has twice finished second to champion Black Caviar in Group One sprints in Melbourne so far this campaign before her last start seventh in the TJ Smith Stakes (1200m) in Sydney.
