Monday's Morphettville Parks Report

Having his first start Redline Victor $3.40 continued the success of apprentice Nathan Rose and trainer David Hayes when the Barley a Moment colt, from the Real Jester mare Red Glamour, scored a two lengths win in the opening event on the Parks track at Morphettville on Monday.

Being well placed throughout the event Redline Victor beat the Tony McEvoy prepared Matthew Neilson ridden War Hawk $2.40.

Warmonger was a farther two and a half lengths away third for Jake Stephens and Todd Pannell.

The Gonski sired three year old filly Gonski Girl gave trainer Craig Curtis and rider Michael Hoppo a three quarters of a length win in race two which was contested over 1000 metres.

From the Woodborough mare Country Class, Gonski Girl came from fourth and beat the $1.65 favourite Asheerah for the team of David Hayes and Nathan Rose.

Californian Devil $10 was a farther three and three quarter lengths away third for Phillip Stokes and Shayne Cahill.

Trainer David Hayes and apprentice Nathan Rose brought up an early double when Flame of Lanka the $1.55 favourite was the two and a half length winner of the 1400 metre third race.

From the Runyon mare Abbadena and sired by Redoute’s Choice Flame of Lanka started well before drifting back to the middle of the field and then mustered enough speed to go on and defeat the Ken Sweeney prepared Shayne Cahill ridden Klondike Lil $61.

Forcryingoutloud $4.80 was a farther one and a quarter lengths away third for the combination of Leon Macdonald, Andrew Gluyas and Clare Lindop.

After being last for the greater part of the journey Pelicano, the $2.40 favourite, gave trainer Tony McEvoy and jockey Matthew Neilson a one and a quarter length victory in the 1400 metre fourth race.

Sired by Court of Jewels out of the Kaapstad mare Musk, Pelicano defeated the Gordon Richards mentored Amy Herrmann ridden Zen $9.

Thawaabet $3.80 was another head away third filling the minor placing for David Hayes and Nathan Rose.

In a nail biting finish Master Beckett $3.80 brought up short head win in the 1550 metre fifth race giving trainer David Hayes a trifecta of wins and Matthew Neilson his second for the day.

Sired by the Irish bred Beckett from the Naturalism mare Natural Lil, Master Beckett came from a mid-field position to beat the Jon O’Connor prepared Nathan Rose ridden Tabulated, the $2.70 favourite.

Electric Circus $7 was a farther one and three quarter lengths away third for Lloyd Kennewell and Shayne Cahill.

Jockey Matthew Neilson brought up a race to race double and trainer David Hayes prepared his third winner for the day when the Mossman sired gelding Unser, from Cindy Indy a A.P.Indy mare, was the one and a quarter length winner of race six which was contested over 1400 metres.

Coming from a mid field position Unser defeated Penzevengi $4.20 for the combination of David Hayes and Nathan Rose.

Trust in Magic $6 was a farther one and a quarter lengths away third for Rod Wilkinson and Amy Herrmann.

Starting at $12 Believe In More gave Finniss trainer John Hyam and jockey Troy Baker a two and three quarter length win in the 1000 metre seventh race.

From the Jugah mare Brookes and sired by the American bred More Than Ready, Believe In More came from a rearward position to beat the David Jolly prepared Justin Potter ridden Conduction $4.

Royal Tern $6.50 was a farther neck away filling the minor placing for Phillip Stokes and Clare Lindop.

Lloyd Kennewell brought up his third winner in two days when the Shayne Cahill ridden Mountain Cat was the length winner of the final event of 1250 metres.

A Tiger Hill mare from the Barathea matron Marlboro Hill, Mountain Cat $5 came from well back and defeated Glancing $5 for Mark Kavanagh and Simon Price.

Exalted Wonder $5 completed the trifecta for trainer Roy Rogers and Michael Hoppo.
