Saturday's Morphettville Parks Races Report

Starting at the good odds of $5 the Artie Schiller three year old filly Artie’s Angel gave trainer Mick Huxtable and jockey Paul Gatt a long-neck victory in the opening event of 1250 metres on the Parks track at Morphettville on Saturday.

Artie’s Angel came from the rear of the field to defeat the Mark Kavanagh prepared Simon Price ridden Darazani $3.40.

Gonski Girl $3.80 was a farther one and a half lengths away third for Craig Curtis and Michael Hoppo.

The Terry and Karina O’Sullivan prepared Simon Price ridden Tykook won its second Adelaide race when she was the three quarters of a length winner of the 1000 metre second race.

Starting the $1.90 favourite Tykook, a Written Tycoon filly from the Keltrice mare Takook, was well placed and beat the Leon Macdonald/Andrew Gluyas trained Jackson Matthews ridden Moving Money $8.

Zaeimus $7 was another length away third for David Balfour and Todd Pannell.

The Seymour training combination of Lee and Shannon Hope together with jockey Reece Wheeler brought up their second successive Adelaide success when Gold Sand, the $1.35 favourite recorded and two and a half length win in the 1550 metre third race.

From the Danehill mare Quinze Love and fathered by Footstepsinthesand, Gold Sands was in the first two throughout the race and beat the Ken Sweeney trained Paul Gatt ridden Rowdy Rocker $5.

Instructor $10 was another two and a quarter lengths away filling the minor placing for Len Smith and Simon Price.

After being forced to race four wide at one stage of the event Zen $4.20 gave mentor Gordon Richards and apprentice Amy Herrmann a length win in the 1400 metre fourth event.

Mothered by Judith Louise, a Zeditave mare, Zen was last when the field settled down and went on to beat Southern Invasion $19 for Margaret Ruberry and Tamara Zanker.

Mughareega $201 was three quarters of a length away third for Ken Sweeney and David Tootell.

Punters were on good terms with themselves when the $2.60 favourite Justify That was the one and a half length winner of the 1400 metre fifth race.

Being under the care of Strathalbyn trainer Peter Moody and having the services of Libby Hopwood the King of Prussia gelding Justify That, from the West Point mare Duty With Honour, was last to leave the gates and came with a strong run over the concluding stages to defeat the Tony McEvoy cared for Matthew Neilson ridden La Bouche $8.

Test Century $2.90 was a farther head away third for Mark Minervini and Jordan Frew.

Winning by a five length margin Uchimura, the $1.80 favourite, gave trainer Tony McEvoy and stable rider Matthew Neilson a win in the 1500 metre sixth event.

A Golden Snake gelding from the Salmon Leap mare Dine With Me, Uchimura was always in contention and went on to defeat Goldstinger $10 for the combination of trainer Ken Sweeney and rider David Tootell.

Another Sweeney trained runner Shez A Gaze $11 was a farther short head away third with Todd Pannell in the saddle.

The father and daughter Stawell training combination of Karina and Terry O’Sullivan combined in a double with jockey Simon Price when Windarra Place $5 was the neck winner of race seven which was run over 1400 metres.

A Hemingway mare form the Poacher’s Moon matron Faint Light, Windarra Place came from the rear of the field to register a win over the Tony McEvoy prepared Matthew Neilson ridden Horatius, the $2 .30 favourite.

Conduction $3.20 was farther short neck away third for David Jolly and Justin Potter.

Jockey Paul Gatt secured his second winner for the afternoon when the John Hyam prepared Believe in More scored a one and a half length win in the final event of 1250 metres.

Starting at $5 the More Than Ready sired Believe in More, from the Jugah mare Brookes, came from well back and defeated the Leon Macdonald/Andrew Gluyas trained Jackson Matthews ridden Miss With Attitude $4.

Little Akie, the $3 favourite, was another half length away filling the minor placing for Brian Mueller and Lauren Stojakovic.
