Saturday's Morphettville Parks Races Report

Backed in from an opening quote of $8 to $5.50 the Roy Rogers trained Libby Hopwood ridden Meadows Mollie recorded her first win from ten starts in the opening event of 1550 metres on the Parks track at Morphettville on Saturday.

A Blevic three year old filly from the Akhadan matron Dancing Lass, Meadows Mollie led from the gate before dropping back to fourth but was able to muster enough speed once again and went on to beat the Roslyn Day trained Adrian Patterson ridden Granulator $6.

The Victorian visitor Disclosed, the $2.25 favourite, was a farther half length away third for Katherine Durden and Jackson Matthews.

Facing the starter for the twelfth time and winning its sixth race the Reset gelding Sky Raider gave trainer Tony McEvoy and jockey Matthew Neilson a length win in the 2250 metre second race.

From the Kashani mare Bright Time, Sky Raider came from a midfield position to defeat the Lloyd Kennewell prepared Paul Gatt ridden Honourable Kind $8.50 who finished a neck ahead of Onerahi Bay $6.50 for Lee and Shannon Hope and Reece Wheeler.

Favourite punters collected for the second time in two races when the David Balfour mentored Scott Westover steered Obsidian Dragon $1.90 was the three length winner of the 1000 metre third race.

Sired by Hidden Dragon from the Monde Bleu mare Aradina, Obsidian Dragon led throughout and beat the Paul Seater cared for Libby Hopwood ridden Bella Leah $10.

Immortality $8.50 was a farther half head away filling the minor placing for Mick Whittle and Troy Baker.

The win of the $2.30 popular elect The Eighth Maker kept a smile on punters faces when he was the half length winner of the 1250 metre fourth race.

A Clangalang five year old gelding from the Bluebird mare Floral Emblem, The Eighth Maker was always well placed and beat the David Jolly cared for Simon Price ridden Zizz $7.50.

Ronorik $31 was another six lengths away third for Mick Whittle and Troy Baker.

The Clangalang sired Lexon brought up win number four in twenty four hours for trainer Lloyd Kennewell in the 1400 metre fifth race.

From a daughter of Blevic, Ruby Wednesday, Lexon came from a midfield position and ran down the one time leader Budriguez, the $2 favourite, prepared by David Jolly and ridden by Justin Potter.

Starting at $4 Magical Pearl was a farther one and a quarter lengths away filling the minor placing for Denis O’Leary and Jordan Frew.

The consistent Meadows Dan gave trainer Roy Rogers and owners Ken and Helen Smith a double in the 1300 metre sixth race.

Starting at $9 and having the services of Michael Hoppo the Akhadan sired Meadows Dan, from the Keepers mare Keepara Princess, came from well back and defeated the Georgina Henderson prepared Jordan Frew ridden Ticket to Vegas $8.50.

The Victorian visitor Layne $4.60 was a farther long neck away third for Daryl Archard and Simon Price.

Formerly trained by Sydney mentor Guy Walter, Tabulated gave apprentice Nathan Rose and his master John O’Connor a one and a half length win in race seven which was run over 1550 metres.

Starting at $4.20 the Exceed and Excel sired Tabulated from the Kris mare Itemise was near the lead throughout the race and went on to beat the Sam Turner prepared Adrian Patterson ridden Luvbite $8.

Fast Frank $6.50 was another long neck away third for Daniel Clarken and his apprentice Lauren Stojakovic.

Registering her first win from fifteen starts Shimano Miss gave her trainer Stuart Padman and rider Justin Potter a length win in the final event of 1400 metres.

Returned at $21 the Daggers Dawn sired Shimano Miss, from the Bellwater mare Shimmering, came from a rearward position and beat the Michael Hickmott prepared Ashley Thompson ridden Always Discreet, the $3 favourite.

Exalted Lady $4.20 was a farther head away third for Roy Rogers and Adrian Patterson.
