Constant visitor to Adelaide Robert Smerdon combined with Donal MacAuley in the two length win of Marked Danger in the hurdle division of the Australia Vs Ireland Jumping Challenge which was run over 3200 metres.

The Danzero four year old gelding from the Forest Glow mare Shiny settled well in the middle of the field before going on to defeat the Graeme Smith prepared Patrick Mangan ridden Half Moon Rising $2.70.

Starting at $5 Boland was another one and a quarter lengths away filling third placing for Eric Musgrove and Adam Crowe.

Favourite supporters had their first collect for the day when the Mark Minervini trained Dominic Tourneur ridden Mimiele $2.30, who had not missed a place in her last four starts, was the three quarters of a length winner of the 1540 metre third race.

From the Bellotto mare Our Fame and sired by Barely a Moment Mimiele led all the way and beat Lalla Rookh $5 for the combination of trainers Leon Macdonald and Andrew Gluyas and stable apprentice Jackson Matthews.

Lindera $3.50 was a farther one and three quarter lengths away third for Jim Smith and apprentice Jordan Frew.

Bringing up a double for both his sire Danzero and the Forest Glow mare Shiny, Stoneblack beat Prince of Capers for mentor Tony McEvoy and rider Paul Gatt.

Also starting at $8 Meadows Jim was another short half head away third for Jim Smith and Adrian Patterson.

Leading all the way and being quoted at $5.50 at barrier rise the Strategic fathered Lord Monty gave horse carer David Hayes and 2 kg claiming apprentice Nathan Rose a long neck success in the 1200 metre seventh race.

From the daughter of the American bred Hector Protector mare Powder Box, Lord Monty defeated Lexcen $5.50 for the combination of trainer Lloyd Kennewell and jockey Dominic Tourneur.

Starting at $11 Sandhill Prince was a farther half length away third for apprentice Jackson Matthews and trainer Sam Turner.

The David Hayes and Nathan Rose combination were active again when the $5 returned Erfaan recorded a one and three quarter length win in the 1050 metre final event giving the pair a back to back success.

Coming from well back the Redoute's Choice sired Erfaan, from the Last Tycoon mare Asawir, beat the Peter A Jones prepared Adrian Patterson guided Stella Jeune $19 who finished a long neck ahead of Stravinsky Code $4.40 for John Hyam and Troy Baker.
