New Management for Murray Bridge

The Murray Bridge Racing Club is pleased to announce the appointment of B Racing Management to undertake the management of their Club operations following the resignation of Brian Wellington. B Racing Management also provides a similar service to the Strathalbyn Racing Club.

"The appointment of the same company provides a good opportunity for both Clubs to work collaboratively in ensuring the continued growth of thoroughbred racing in the region" Bryan Guy, Chairman of Murray Bridge said.

"We are looking forward to a closer working relationship with the Strathalbyn Racing Club and believe the benefits to both Clubs are exceptional".

B Racing Management was established earlier this year when Chris Biggs and Nick Bawden were appointed to perform the Secretary/Manager's role at Strathalbyn Racing Club when Chris's brother Barry announced his retirement after 24 years of service to the Club.

"In many ways the shared initiatives will provide the incentive for both Clubs to prosper, given that between them they provide the largest training base outside of Metropolitan Adelaide" Chris Biggs said.

"It provides the opportunity to pool ideas and resources to achieve a critical mass, with the possibility of regional management procedures to be adopted".

To ensure the success of the operation B Racing Management recently announced the appointment of Tim Clements to the team.

"It is good to see 2 young people accepting the challenge of racing administration, since they represent the future of the thoroughbred racing industry. It is an exciting period that the industry is going through and they will bring a new meaning to the management of Racing Clubs." Chris Biggs said. "Both Nick and Tim will provide the front-line focus for both Strathalbyn and Murray Bridge Racing Clubs".

"Chris Biggs also provides the management role as Executive Officer for the South Australian Racing Clubs' Council and it is the first step for a bright future for both Clubs" John Cameron, Chief Executive officer, Thoroughbred Racing South Australia said.
