The six month disqualification was handed out to Ryan Aguiar by Racing Victoria Stewards this afternoon after the sample was taken earlier this month at Caulfield.
Aguiar had to provide the sample as he sought to return to the saddle for track work.
Stewards noted in their report released late today that Aguiar provided the dummy sample on August 8 while riding trackwork.
"Aguiar was found guilty under AR175(a) of an improper practice in that he provided a previously prepared liquid from a container concealed in his clothing after he was directed to provide a urine sample for the purpose of resuming riding track work," the report stated.
Stewards also revealed that Aguiar had been previously penalised twice for "drug related offences."
