Winterbottom Stakes - Final Fields & Barriers
- Tuesday, 24 November 2009 00:15
Last start winner Lucky Secret heads the line-up for this Saturday's $500,000 Winterbottom Stakes (1200m) at Ascot.
Trained by Tony Vasil, Lucky Secret will be making his first appearance in Western Australia on the weekend after impressively winning the Listed Kevin Heffernan Stakes (1300m) at Sandown a fortnight ago.
Meanwhile sixth placegetter from Saturday's Group 1 Railway Stakes (1600m), Ortensia, has also paid-up for the Group 2 sprint.
Trainer Tony Noonan will monitor her condition and will also take into consideration whether she gains an invitation from the Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) tomorrow afternoon to compete in the Group 1 Hong Kong Sprint (1200m) on December 13 before making a decision to run the four-year-old mare in the Winterbottom Stakes.
