Knuckey Treble A Cyril Flower Highlight

Former Festival star Hadabeclorka returned to winning form with a whirlwind finish to win the Cyril Flower Stakes (1200 metres) from Ballroom Crown and Moccasin Bend in third place.

Hadabeclorka ($15) had not started since his unlucky unplaced run in the BMW Perth Cup and he gave an indication of his fitness with a recent brilliant trial at Bunbury recently.

Peter Knuckey made it a treble of wins and took the jockey challenge in the process, upsetting the heavily backed Alan Kennedy.

The eight year old son of Hurricane Sky won his first stakes race and took his stake earnings to over $360,000 and many speculative buyers at the recent Magic Millions Classic sale will be feeling happy about their purchases after the prices for the Durham Lodge stallion failed to impress.

Ballroom Crown continues to impress with her strong finish and there will be races for her in the future with the Batavia Sprint firmly in her sights.

The former Guineas winner Moccasin Bend sat in the one by one and hit the line with plenty of gusto to grab third ahead of Glory Hunter who sat wide throughout the race and ran a mighty race for fourth.

The favourite Golden Heart led up and compounded in a disappointing effort.
