Cox Stakes - Final Field & Barriers
- Tuesday, 14 December 2010 00:59
The final field and barrier draw has been released for Saturday's Group Two $225,000 Landscape Development-C.B. Cox Stakes at Ascot.
Last start Group 1 Kingston Town Classic (1800m) runner-up Impressive Journey will begin from barrier six and is expected to start a short-priced favourite.
Meanwhile, the Chris Waller-trained Triple Honour will begin from barrier eight.
Triple Honour's previous victory was registered in this year's Group 2 Eagle Farm Cup (2200m), ending a 21-start losing streak.
The CB Cox Stakes has been an inportant race over the years in identifying the winner of the Perth Cup on New Year's Day.
Cat's Fun (2007) and Lords Ransom (2010) are two horses in recent times to complete the Cox Stakes-Perth Cup double.
